How to create a message template

In the sidebar, navigate to Service Admin and open “Templates” (if you do not see this option in your portal, it is because you do not have permissions to create templates).

You will be able to view existing templates in the list and add new ones by clicking the “New template” button.

First, create a template name and description. You can see how this information will later be displayed in the list of templates in the image above.

Next, start putting together the template content. You can type free text and apply placeholders. Our example message shows you how placeholders can be used.

To use a placeholder, click to copy and paste the desired placeholder into your message. When you come to use the template, the corresponding information will be automatically inserted into the message.

For example, if you add {{Patient_First_Name}} at the beginning of the message, the template will automatically address the patient by name without typing it.

You can then decide to publish the template or save it as a draft. If you save it as a draft, you can publish it later on, as well as edit or delete the template.
